So you would think that my first post would be about weighing scales? Unfortunately not! I arrived at Coventry Scales HQ situated on Barker Butts Lane, Coundon this morning to find someone had started to strip the lead flashing off a small flat roof at the front of our showroom. I had a chat to the owner of the Chinese take away next door and found out that this happened at about 3.30 on Monday morning. As the thief clambered across the roof he was disturbed by one of the chefs from the Chinese take away and fell off! He must have hit the deck with some force as he left a hand print on the ground, no ordinary hand print though, a massive hand print. If you are, or know the massive handed thief who risks his life for £15 of scrap lead then please note, I spent the afternoon upgrading the CCTV equipment to cover the whole of the outside of the building.
